America! Enjoy what you have while you can! Your history is OVER! We love watching you go down clutching your flag and babbling your Pledge of Allegiance!
More bad news: God is on THEIR side, not yours. Sorry...

*cackle*   Trolling little smacktard.  Go ahead and rejoice because we all know that if America goes down under the Bush administration he's going to nuke the whole friggin' planet right down with us.

Another report shows the US falling behind in Science too.  The US is heading towards a third-rate dictatorship.

Maybe we should take away control of our education systems from the leftists, and give more mainstream folks a turn for a few decades.

c ...@oblivion.world

Mainstream?  Perhaps you want us to revert to the Nazi concept of "aryan Science"?
Bennie, scientific efforts and education are trans-national and universal.  Deny foreign students accsss to American Universities if you wish, exclude foreign scientists from publishing in Scientific Journals paublished in the US, hell, exert influence on the Nobel Prize Committee to not award their prizes to anyone except western scientists, but, alas, Bennie, you will not prevent those foreigners and "leftists" from contributing to the advances of science.  You will only make yourself a troglodyte  cretin in the eyes of the international scientific community.  Of course, for members of the developmentally deficient right, that is the "course of empire".

On Mon, 03 May 2004 18:07:23 -0700 Probably wants to privatize our education system and turn it over to the fundie Christians.  That might sorta work if you keep a pry-bar handy to seperate the headmasters from their students.
We were once in a possition to capitalize big-time on the fact that China and India were pumping out gifted engineers and scientists who would have loved to bring their talents to this country.  Now we are on a steep decline into a miserable backward police state and international pariah where no-one with any brains will want to live or be ***ociated with.  Thanks Bush and Ashcroft.

It's already happening.  Science is rising in other countries and falling in the US.  More scientific papers are being published by non-Americans outside the US, and more patents are being granted outside the US.  Many large companies are establishing research centers in China, India and elsewhere.

The private system of k-12 education has been proven a failure.
Almost by definition, "mainstream" equals the sum of average and below average populations.

Or perhaps just wants to eliminate the socialist-atheist monopoly on public education dollars.  Parents get to choose what church their kids attend.  Why not let them choose what school (without impoverish them by forcing them to fund socialist schools?)

Just Another Alias startle...@comcast.net

Because our socialist schools suck, and would rather teach putting condoms on bananas, and diversity blather.

Who's stopping that?  If you mean 'schools', I know from personal experiance that it is perfectly possible to have private Christian-based schools.  There was one in my rural community for a few years.  They graded on 'submisivness' amoung other things...no lie!  It was quietly closed down after the headmaster was having one of the kids stay late and giving her special instruction while sitting on his lap.  When the kids went back to public shcool, they were well behind their peers in basic knowledge of the three R's...but presumably they were 'submisive'.
The closest thing to a state sponsered religion based education system exists in Muslim nations such as Taliban Afghanistan.

You know, my child goes to a public schools, and hasn't once spent the day being taught to put condoms on bananas.  I consider teaching diversity to be a good thing.  Why don't you?
By the way - you and your right-wing pinhead pals need to buy yourselves a dictionary so you'll quit using words you don't understand, like "socialist".
