Democratic Presidential Candidates Reveal Higher Ed Plans The Senate has approved legislation that amends the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The bill helps to prevent identity theft by giving people greater access to their credit scores and credit reports annually, and provides a streamlined process for reporting all fraud. The bill also allows for the permanent pre-emption of state privacy laws surrounding the sharing of customers' financial information.
Recently, lawmakers, researchers and economic experts convened at a hearing of the House Subcommittee on Education Reform to discuss ways to increase the level of financial literacy among K-12 and college students.
