<loud applause> I think you've chosen the wrong profession. Yay for Solo and a pat on the back to you for not indulging your inner demon and throwing the ball back into the middle of the "lake." You should save stories like this for both historical and literary value :) -- Tara

Outward Bound Schools as an Alternative to Institutionalization The primary purpose of this study was to determine if an Outward Bound experience was more effective in reducing further delinquent behavior in adjudicated delinquent adolescent boys than a traditional training school experience. Such experiences could be beneficial to these children for broadening themselves and developing new skills, such as communication and leadership. Although Outward Bound experiences have been used frequently with juvenile offenders and other adjudicated youth, there are no published accounts of foster care children participating in such an experience. This paper describes the use of a seven-day Outward Bound ...

August August Hi, I'm back. I think that Augus is my least favorite month. It's hot and sticky and everyone goes away. This August is OK, it was in the 60s yesterday, but I can't shake the feeling that we're going to pay for not burning to death in August. Maybe it will be awful in September. When I was little I used to go to summer camp: art camp, nature camp, horrible girl scout camp, soccer camp, sleep away camp, and, once when my parents were really desperate for childcare: methodist bible camp. (We are UU in normal life, though ...
