Milosovic should be executed for crimes against humanity - genocide! No different than others who have committed the same crime!
Alexander Arnakis inva...@address.none
As a Christian, how can you support the death penalty (even for those guilty of genocide)? Don't worry -- Milosevic, if he's guilty, can remain in prison for the rest of his life. And, given his health problems, his life is likely to be a short one. God can set the time of his death.
BTW, death is not an option under the rules of the Hague court.
The desire for vengeance, although understandable, doesn't comport with the Christian ideal of forgiveness. What other reason is there for putting a Milosevic to death? As we have seen, making an "example" of anyone doesn't seem to deter other dictators from doing the same thing: witness what's happening in the Sudan, etc.

Iraq has reinstated the death penalty.
Alexander Arnakis inva...@address.none
It's a foregone conclusion that Saddam will get the death penalty.
Ironically, that frees him up to act tough and embarr*** the court.
His henchmen (especially types like Tariq Aziz) have a chance of escaping the hangman's noose. This puts them in a great deal of fear, and makes it far more likely that they'll cooperate with the prosecution.
