Ok I promised not to respond to MV's crap but this list is utter BS.
I can't address every site, but I know for a fact that mountain biking is not "Banned" or closed at many of these places.
I have been here and ridden more than 10  miles of MTB trails here.
Mostly fireroads, but there are some fun climbs.
This is BS, there are several areas in EBMUB where Mountain biking is permitted.  For example there are miles of trails on Lake Chabot that are open to bikes.
I don't know what this means, there are over 20 MILES of trails on Pleasanton ridge which are accessible to mountain bikes.
Again, WTF there are a FEW places at ECdM that are closed to bikes but the majority of the trails are open (And very fun).
Again, many miles available to bikes, plus connector trails to Round Valley Regional Preserve, and Morgan Territory Regional Preserve.
I haven't ridden here, but I have heard there are many miles of excellent MTB Trails here.
There are a couple of fun places to ride at Point Reyes,  there is one ride from the Bay View trailhead to Mount Vision that is particularly fun.
Many, Many Miles of excellent singletrack and multi use trails here.
Based on your trail of misinformation regarding the places which I have personally ridden I question the validity of any of the information on this post.

Limited and Banned are completely different words with different definitions.  You spoke of many places where cycling is LIMITED to specific trails, but your subject stated Places where Mountain Biking is BANNED.  There is a HUGE difference between the two.  For example if cycling was banned in Chino Hills State Park the ranger at the gate wouldn't point out the miles of cycling trails there.

Places Where Mountain Biking is Banned ...
This is misinformation at best, and an outright lie at worst. The very first location listed, Annadel State Park, lists all trails as multi use, except one. This is not a ban.
Another on the list is China Camp, where all trails are designed and constructed as shared use. This is not a ban.
The truth is that there are 34 sites with No Bike rules -- and three of these are not clear if the restriction is limited to certain trails or the entire park -- and 14 that allow bikes. If you are going to make an argument, at least be factual and do not lie. There is nothing worse than a lying environmentalist.
"BANNED SITES" (this list includes sites where bikes are restricted to paved roads. since nobody wants to ride on the road, being restricted to pavement is the same as a ban.) *These sites seem to allow bikes in other areas, but it is not clear that this is true or not.
"REGULATED SITES" These sites allow bikes on trails. There may be restrictions and regulations, but bikes are allowed.

"Michael Paul" mp...@san.rr.com

so once again by using your twisted logic you think you prove a point?
Point:  moutain biking is banned from all of these parks listed below Fact:  Mountain bikes have restricted access to SOME of the trails within these parks Using this logic, the following statement is true "Cars are only allowed to drive 15 miles per hour"  becasue in some areas the speed limit most definately is 15 miles per hour but then of course it changes based on location or other restrictions.
For a PhD, you really aren't that smart are you?  Idiot ...
...

"Michael Paul" mp...@san.rr.com

This is perhaps the most compelling argument you've made that proves your an idiot and you don't actually think about what you write/say before you do it.
Let's analyze the situation.  Mountain biking is banned in all of the parks listed below because access is restricted on some trails?  Hmmmmmm, since even a hiker doesn't have free reign on all possible trails and/or property within the park then a hiker is also banned from each of the parks listed below.
Therefore, now follow closely because this is where it gets interesting..........
Mountain bikers are banned Mountain bikers say they aren't banned and are therefore labeled liars Mountain bikers ride even where allowed but damage the environment hikers are also banned (from logic already presented) Because hikers say they aren't banned they must be liars Dr. Dumb is a hiker Therefore (adn this is the best part of all) Dr. Dumb has just been proven to be a liar (something we all already knew but here's the proof) Go get yourself a new cat because everybody knows that cats are the lonely man's pet and try to actually put some thought into your statements next time.  IT must suck being proved wrong by so many bikers in just one week but then, it probably sucks worse just being you anyway.

"Jeff Strickland" cr...@yahoo.com

Even if you accept that restricted use and an outright ban are remotely similar, how do you resolve the fact that there are 14 sites on your Banned List that have no ban?
You are lying and spreading misinformation. This is the sort of thing that calls all of the rest of your "facts" into question. If you are willing to misrepresent an issue so simple as a site list where bikes are and are not allowed, how can we be sure you don't misrepresent important information such as the impact that a bike might have on the habitat.
