Hi gang, Been mostly a lurker abound here. Gotten a lot of good advice from this group. As well as seen a lot of typical goofy posts as well. All Ng's have their share of that.
Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone else has heard of a title by the name of 'The New Addams Family"?? This is the one that was supposedly made after Raul Julia's death. And starred Tim Curry in his place. Plus I think different people altogether??
Was just wondering if anyone knows where I could get this. I saw it at my Target about 2-3 years ago, but didn't pick one up. Plus I don't know if it would have a DVD yet.
Thanks in advance.

The movie was called "Addams Family Reunion." There was a show on TV called 'The New Addams Family" that premiered soon after.
It's not out on DVD, but Amazon has it on VHS: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/external-search?tag=imdb-adbox&keyw... 0736969|0790736977|0790736985&mode=vhs

That's "The Addams Family Reunion", from 1998, a direct-to-video production.
It does indeed star Tim Curry as Gomez Addams, with Daryl Hannah as Morticia, and only 2 of the family members returning from the two theatrical productions.
Most reviewers pan it, but I personally I found it entertaining. Love that Box!
Unfortunately, it's only available on VHS at this point. Or you can tape it off the Fox Family channel, where it still airs every now and then.
Attention Warner Brothers! Are you listening? This needs to be released on DVD!
And while we're at it, where's a real DVD release of the first 2 movies? The bare bones DVD's currently in print don't cut it.

Until "Star Trek II" comes out next month, anyway.

Why ask Warner? Those were Paramount releases.

Actually, Paramount has re-released one title: "Apocalypse Now". Of course, one could argue that since "Apocalypse Now Redux" got it's own theatrical release that it's a different title, I'd consider it a re-release, although I gladly own both discs.
