Hi. DH's grandfather passed away this morning. We are going to take the children to the funeral, but we really don't think the viewing would be a good idea. What do you all think? They are handling it well, as far as we can see, but I don't think that they *really* understand what happened. They keep saying that pap has wings now, or that I bet he can eat all the candy he wants too. Is this a healthy way to think about death? If you have a family member that is close to dealth, do you think it is best to be with them at the time they die, just before, just after or all of the above? How do you handle death? Hi Everyone- Last month our precious Lab died suddenly while the girls and I were in Virginia visiting my parents. We are not really sure what happened to her. She was almost 10 years old, which is kind of old for a Lab, but not ancient. DH said that she stopped eating her food a couple days before she died.
