In posting a notice of the January feature at the Return Of The Gods Web Site, http://pages.prodigy.net/krtq73aa/drugs.htm [Talk With Your 'Kids' About Drugs, Truth & Family Purpose], my intention was to stimulate intelligent thought. But it appears that I also stimulated some compulsive behavior among some folk with a socialist bent--folk whose concept of an ideological debate is simply to fling words around. Curiously, the particular words that people bearing the curious names Video61 and Click, appear to have very little, if any, relevance to the latest essay.
In many respects, the quality of opposition rants say more about the intellectual bankruptcy of the modern Left than anything I could actually write.
For more rational folk, I will persist in posting notices of essays intended to stimulate intelligent thought.

Yet you didn't "write" anything. You copy and past an article which tries (but fails miserably) to equate drug use/dangers with a particular political ideology. It states "Our best educated guess is that far more lives have been damaged by Leftist propaganda than by drug usage" yet provides no explanation of what harm has been caused other then the broad-brush meaningless phrase "undermining of the foundations for social and cultural continuity". Nor does it even attempt to define "Leftist" let alone the potential harm that "Rightist" propaganda may cause. Ironically at one point it speaks of the dangers of "uncritical acceptance of a false argument" and yet you still expect to be taken seriously?!?
That's not to say the article didn't have some redeeming value. It does speak of the need of open communication and educating youth of the dangers of drugs, peer pressures and unquestioned acceptance of ideology. These are goals all parents should embrace. But the article falls completely flat when it tries to equate all that is bad with one ideology (Leftism) while at the same time prop-up an opposing ideology.
(Rightism) Basically if you substitute "Right" with "Left" throughout the article it still has the same impact and "truth-e-ness".
In short this article is nothing but a rightist propaganda piece railing against someone's perceived leftist propaganda. From where I'm sitting you have no right what-so-ever to claim anyone else may have "intellectual bankruptcy" as you are bathed in it.
Is posting notices all you've got? Why not come up with something original or is that too "Leftist" for you?
