Currently have version 7.0 sp11 installed. Have attempted to install the 7.5 upgrade. Could not get the license key to work when running setup and selecting upgrade for enterprise so tried the pru update. It ran but the version still shows 7.0 and if I try to run it a second time I get a message that the recent update is already done. Anyone have any suggestions?

I need an answer to this as well. I downloaded the ISO image for Zenworks 7.5 and burned it to a CD. When I try to install it choosing to upgrade my enterprise installation, I get "invalid license" when I enter my license code. My license is only for ***et Inventory. What is the problem?

Versions 7.0 and 7.5 are incompatible as far as licenses are concerned.
You do need 7.0 licenses for 7.0 and 7.5 ones when installing version 7.5.
Version 7.5 is *not* a free upgrade from 7.x.
If you're entitled, you can download 7.5 licenses from the portal; alterlatively, get in touch with your Novell rep for an upgrade license (they are available and listed in the price list).

If the 7.0 licenses are not compatible with 7.5, why was I notified that 7.5 was available? Shouldn't my upgrade protection that I purchased allow me to get 7.5 at no extra cost?

I got mine (7.0) from the portal and I've got the 7.5 ones from the same source as well.
I'm not saying that you're not entitled to get 7.5 at no extra cost; as far as I know (and I've tried them) 7.0 licenses are not accepted during the upgrade procedure.

Sorry, I see it now. There is a separate entry in my activated products for 7.5, and it has a different license code.

Did you get your license key for 7.5 from your customer portal? Their is a new 7.5 key, so your 7.0 will not work. There are new features in 7.5 that required a new key to be entered.
