Hi. I apologize in advance for the length of this message. I am currently in the process of getting my college situation all put together and am hoping to get an ROTC scholarship. My problem is I really don't know much about the military, except that I believe in it and think it is a good cause. I'm trying to figure out if I want to do the Army or the Navy ROTC programs, and was hoping somebody could offer their opinion or some resource to help me make my decision. To be honest, I see that both ...

I am soon to be a high school senior and I was considering this Army ROTC scholarship as a way to help pay for college. It pays for 16,000 of your tuition and also gives you an allowance. I am trying to find how how selective this scholarship is. Please tell me if you think I could get one. I have a 3.3 GPA, 1370 SAT score and soon to be an Eagle Scout. I also run track and have a job at the supermarket. Please if any of you know anything about this then tell me. I really hope I would be able to ...

I Fail So I was all excited about attending the Navy's Nuclear Power School this September, but those "health technicians" at the enlistment headquarters say that I am partially colorblind. I guess I will have to continue with Army ROTC at Colorado School of Mines. I have tried for just about everything the military offers, but I keep getting shot down. I even got a nomination from Senator Wayne Allard to attend the United States Military Academy, but they still didn't accept me!
A Community Mourns, Angels Respond Update 18 April - Virginia Tech ROTC Thanks Soldiers' Angels: Patti, I want to thank you so much for your call on Tuesday morning. We continue to respond to the countless e-mails and phone messages but we wanted to again thank you for being among the first to contact and offer financial support. Though we are federally supported we can not provide a fully funded education like the West Point a school some of students actually turned down. Our Cadets are committed to serving their country and over the past 48 hours that resolve has been reaffirmed. ...
