Many governments including england refuse to discipline their kids ( or criminals ), hence we have a society that knows no limits and only gets more "undisciplined" Kids run rampant, Crime is increasing, LAWLESSNESS abounds Pr 13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. Pr 23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Pr 23:14 Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death. Pr 29:1 ...

DISCIPLINE This doctrine holds that school authorities can act in place of parents while the student is in school. In the true implementation process, the doctrine must be somewhat tempered for school authorities, since parents obviously are not required to provide the procedural due process before initiating disciplinary procedures. Rules should not be contrary to the basic wishes of parents as a whole. Although courts fully realize the responsibility of the school system to establish proper educational settings, one must remember that school board members are elected and thus act in the capacity of representing their ...
Local school boards implement state laws through school board policy. The board's policies are further expanded by school regulations, a function of the superintendent and his or her staff. The local school's administrators and teachers are charged with the responsibility of incorporating these regulations in the day-to-day operation of the school. This team of individuals will determine the parameters for establishing individual classroom discipline standards. Knowing the process, laws, and regulations will assist the individual teacher to control the classroom problems.
Parents Guide on Discipline and Punishment and Psychological and LACK OF DISCIPLINE IS HARMFUL Because it spoils the child. Discipline must be learnt by the child so that he can learn Self discipline. PHYSICAL PUNISHMENT IS ALSO HARMFUL It is infact conter productive. Children learn better by praise & reward then by punisment TO PUNISH IS TO INJURE * Most punishments are irrational because it is given for acts which are not wrong or outside the child control. *It is inflicted because of loss of temper w hen parents are tired or worried. *It is meted not because child is naughty but is a nuisance to adult. *Because it is directed not at cause but at symptoms & ...
DISCIPLINE Helping a child to behave in an acceptable manner is a necessary part of raising the child well. Discipline varies at different ages. There is no one right way to raise children, but child and adolescent psychiatrists offer the following general guidelines: Children generally want to please their parents. Wise parents can in their disciplining activities use children's desire to please. When parents show joy and approval for behavior that please them, this reinforces good behavior in the child. When parents show disapproval of dangerous or unpleasant behaviors ...

Judge acquits dad accused of hitting son, case revolves around Every child needs and expects discipline but for a child to be struck with a belt on his back is very emotionally distressing - it leaves scars for a lifetime . What the child did was not that bad and while he did not listen it sill does not warrant what happened. As a social worker, I always told parents that in some instances a smack on the rear was warranted and leaving marks is abuse I intend to speak to whoever it takes to realize this child was done more harm than good.
When kids get in trouble, and you go to court, the judge looks at you like why can't you control your child. With the way the system is now a days, you can't even yell at your child in public because people look at you like you are the bad guy, and when you let your child act wild in public they look at you with disgust when you don't do anything. I grew up getting spanked, and I have never been in trouble, I grew up in the 60's. I agree that kids do yell abuse and threaten to call the police, so alot of parents are afraid to discipline their children. ...
The Four Views of What the Fed Should Do Yves Smith of Naked Capitalism submits : A gut-wrenching two weeks in the credit markets have been capped by unprecedented moves by central bankers. The ECB's offer of an unlimited infusion to member banks the week before last was followed last Friday' by the Fed's discount rate cut, which included stern warnings that those who needed it better use it and a volte-face on its interest rate posture (a bias towards tightening suddenly became a promise that the Fed would provide more liquidity if conditions warranted). The Fed, ECB, and Bank ...

District 66 board discusses budget, closed lunch campus The budget struggle in Springfield and concern over the collection of property taxes in Fulton County are major factors influencing the budget of Canton Union School District 66. Assistant Superintendent Robin Tonkin presented the tentative district budget to the board during its regular monthly meeting. She told the board she had tried to follow the path of previous budget plans, trying to estimate low on the revenue end and high on the expense end. Among the assumptions used when projecting the budget figures, Tonkin said it was expected that the assessed valuations will continue ...
District enrollment was not projected to change significantly, but the average daily attendance is showing a downward trend. This is troubling because state aid is figured on the average daily attendance figures, not on enrollment. General State Aid, the district's greatest single source of revenue, was not expected to change significantly, although budget struggles in Springfield are a concern. The largest expenditure for the district continues to be in the area of salaries and benefits, which account for about 80 percent. Other district expenditures are expected to mirror the cost of living, although the fact that district buildings ...
Saban, other SEC coaches share thoughts on discipline TUSCALOOSA — Alabama fans’ reaction to Nick Saban’s arrival has been consistently euphoric. But one area that ignites those fans most centers around the coach’s reputation as a disciplinarian. A sentiment voiced many times to reporters and on talk shows can be simplified to: “As long as he brings back some discipline, we’ll be all right.” Saban’s philosophic approach to discipline isn’t as old-school as his reputation. This isn’t a one-strike coach. Very few successful coaches are. Saban differentiates between discipline and punishment. And he’s introduced ...

31 July 2007 - Family Integrity #275 -- Govt has radical plan on Dear Friends, Here are two press releases from today which make it clear, if it wasn't already, that New Zealand has crossed over the line into a socialist totalitarian regime ruled by an elite group (MPs), 50% of whom, because of our MMP electoral system, are not accountable to the voters of any electorate. The behaviour of these MPs over the last few legislative issues (banning of smacking, legalising of prostitution, setting up civil unions) demonstrates that we do not live in a democracy, for the MPs have dropped all pretense of giving any heed to what the vast majorities (80-90% in these three ...
