Hello, My nephew is getting out of jail on the 28th. It was a drug and alcohol thing. He has to go to a halfway house for some time. I don`t know how long. What are halfway houses like? What are their rules? I am guessing each one has it`s own rules? I don`t know? I have searched the internet for answeres but haven`t had much luck. Thanks for any info.
Dan.

They are great for "cooling off" and trying to become better prepared than the joint releases one in. A few bucks, no job, no place to live, no real resume, a wave good by and see ya soon shit *** leave taking.etc.
You are right. They are all different.
My advice is have hin contact a few independent churches quickly with his story. If he is sincere they will get him on his feet quicker than most folks can.

Why all of the COck-suckers then insist in one voice, that everyone who is in there deserves it, because one has got to be a murderer, or extremely violent and vicious rapist...?
I should wonder what agenda do they pursue, because so far, there were no vicious rapists or murderers commented upon, lest themselves were here to tell they were in prison just for that.... They either said they were unfairly convicted, for drugs, alcohol, "resisting arrests", or - to be muffled by the authorities and employees....
Could we get at the bottom of this at last?

So, now only independent churches are running the business of reintegration of former ho9stages of the incarceration industry ?
Why am I not surprised, you ask? Well, because government's money isn't used for rehabilitation, as it supposed to be spent?
COck-suckers take all of the money for themselves, if it gets to the institutions of the incarceration industry in its full entirety...
Because some subsidiaries and prison contractors must have already learned ho to 'acquire' taxpayers' money soon after it leaves treasury, but before it reaches the destination... A "train robbery" on the rail road of the incarceration industry, so-called?
No wonder the hostages of the incarceration industry, who are being railroaded into prisons for 'rehabilitation', don't benefit a bit from it, and as a rule return immediately after its completion...

They are what the name says--a halfway point between prison and the street. They are to provide a transition between the high structure of prison life and outside life.
An offender has considerably more independence and freedom in a halfway house than in prison. So, it is important to follow what rules they do have (such as reporting in, staying off drugs, staying out of fights, no escapes, etc.) otherwise you're back in prison.
Some houses arrange for employment or volunteer work.
Ironically, the hardcore offenders who need them the most are not allowed in them due to community opposition.

But you hate churches! According to you, the church will brainwash him and turn him into a Bushie!?

NOW I know what folks mean when they say "are you off yur meds?" You use the word "hate" in the strangest places and over the strangest issues?
I would reccomend any group that fosters caring and love for others in need.
One need not become a robotic follower of such a place any more than they should the joint they came from.
Snap out of simply picking up on my postings for some off the wall critique.
You're beginning to look silly.
