Hi everyone I have not written in awhile. I was hoping to ask a few questions and pray that you can help. My daughter as you know was dx with lyme and was told that she was better after 3 wks of abx but she still has severe neurologic problems , leg pains and nausea, stomach aches etc they say it is all in her head (she is 9).
Then there is my son(he is 13 has a 130 IQ on jr honor society great happy go lucky kid)who was bite had 2 blood tests, both neg. he suddenly developed anxiety attacks at school and is sent home from school just about everyday(he may not graduate 8th grade)has severe nausea and neck pain. they sent him to a psychiatrist who put him on zoloft however he still has all these problems and they will not even listen to me about poss. lyme since he tests neg.
also they both have this thing where they lay in bed and they shake uncontrollably and cry, Mom why can i stop shaking? Does this happen to any of you? I don't know what to do anymore, even my dog tested positive for it last week. AARUGHH!!!! I appreciate any help you can give me.

Heidi, You NEED to get these kids to a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) right away. 3 weeks of treatment is not NEARLY long enough and any doctor who is telling you it is , is in the dark ages of lyme and doesn't really believe that Lyme disease is as serious an illness as in reality it IS...What state are you located in? If you want to email me privately please feel free too and I'll do my best on helping you find a doctor.. The shakin the kids are experiencing could be being caused by neurological Lyme..

He is okayw ith his info being publicly posted but other doctors names & contact info we do not post on this board. I wouold rec'd that you conatct Dr. Charles Ray Jones at 1-203-772-1123. He is the best pediatric Lyme doctor.
We have a local child with congenital Lyme and heart stuff- and he has spent so much time on the phone just talking with the MOm- he is a saint. He can consult with your childds pediatrician as well.

Heidi, your child is in serious danger.
Get antibiotics NOW, and ask people here to get you in contact with a LLMD in your area.
Please do not go from this newsgroup but keep us posted on how your child is doing.
If you can't get any antibiotics soon enough then contact me personally, I will send you some.

Your children are definately showing signs of undertreated lyme. They need to get back on antibiotics fast. As one poster wrote charles Ray Jones is one of the best pediatric lyme doctors. You can contact The Lyme disease ***ociation or lyme alliance for referrals. I have a good list of doctors I can e-mail you but we cant mention their names of this board. Please e-mail and tell me where you live.
