Does anyone have an MCSE boot camp that they recommend? I am negotiating with my current employer to stay at the company longer if they pay for me to go to an MCSE training program, and I am looking for one that will be about 2 to 3 weeks long. I don't care much about price, I'm looking for one that is good quality, and that will actually teach me stuff rather than just making me remember things long enough to duplicate them on the exam. Any recommendations would be great. Also, location does no ...

Boot camps, chain gangs and supermax are the kinds of incarceration games Americans are playing these days. Is the US fully trustworthy on the subject of prisoner treatment? Earl ************* Arizona Boot Camp Director Arrested Fri Feb 15, 7:29 PM ET By ALISA BLACKWOOD, Associated Press Writer PHOENIX - The director of a boot camp for troubled youngsters was arrested on murder and child-abuse charges Friday in the death of a teen-age camper who collapsed in 116-degree heat last summer. Recently saw an episode of Desperate Housewives where arrangements are made to send a teenager to boot camp against his will. No legal proceedings involved - the parents decide to send him to improve his attitude and a couple of big guys turn up at oh dark thirty and frogmarch him out. A little Googling tells me that boot camps and military camps are plentiful in the USA (and damned expensive - cheapest I found was $2,100 a month) and it seems plain that kids can be hauled into these things at t ...

First off, let me say that I am well aware of the opinions that some people hold regarding boot camps. Personally, I prefer self-learning, but this is a special circumstance. Over the last 4 years I have been performing many of the duties that System Administrators handle, and it's all been self learned. Now I need to find a better job fast, and quickly getting an MCSE will help me do that. I probably know about 50% of what I need to know for the MCSE, and I could probably learn the rest in the ...

Teen Boot Camps Boot Camps for Troubled Teens Parents struggling with a troubled teen or pre-adolescent often give the idle threat, "I'm going to send you to military school!" In recent years, short-term juvenile boot camps have often been the new threat over long-term military schools. Before you send a troubled teen with behavioral and emotional problems to a juvenile boot camp, it's important that you understand what these boot camps are and how effective (or not) they are in transforming angry, unhappy, struggling teens. ...
The theory behind many boot camps is that if you scream enough at children and discipline them, they will "get in line." Angry, defiant, oppositional teenagers may fall in line while in the intensely overwhelming, military-like environment of a boot camp, but in most cases these short-term "scream camps" do not create lasting changes in troubled teens. It is more likely this type of setting will create more hostility and resentment toward authority figures. When adolescents are struggling to find their place in the world, they ...
Boot Camps Help Manage Problem Teens If problems are not shown, it is hard to know how to begin solving them. A teacher of remedial reading would find it difficult to improve a child's reading skills if the child never spoke to show just what his reading difficulties were. Only as the teacher can see and analyze the child's reading errors is correction possible. So it is with personal problems. WRA Teen Boot Camp sees the appearance of a problem as an opportunity; as a problem teen's problem becomes visible, the way to a solution becomes clearer.
In most settings, teachers and workers for problem teens attempt to suppress problems because they fear a loss of control. This concern is valid particularly when work is with large numbers of problem teens. The potential for contagious troublesome behavior is high in any group of problem teens who does not relate positively to authority. Thus, the adult moves quickly to squelch any acting-out behavior. One of the common interventions is to "kick out" the troublemaker. Problem teens who are viewed as a negative influence on other problem teens are sacrificed for the sake of the rest of the group.

Realism, Not Pessimism, And Certainly No Room For Optimism Shocking… Yet another State Department Arabist takes Jews to task for wanting to survive the Foggy Folks’ less than friendly--if not downright hostile--"peace” (of the grave) plans. We’ll return to this later… Next, picture that the animosity of the enemies America faces has nothing to do with its size --for America is now indeed tiny--but is based on their belief that Americans have no historical or political right whatsoever to the land. Our enemies, instead, claim all of the area--including America--as purely their own patrimony. Next, picture that mini-America ...

Military Teen Boot Camps and Anger Management Military teen boot camps are known for their no nonsense approach to dealing with out-of-control-teens. In many cases, boot camps are the right solution for a teen teetering on the edge of a full blown discipline problem and likely only needs a wake-up call. Josh was such a kid. His visit to boot camp was precipitated by his tendency to get into fights at a drop of a hat. Anger management is definitely ground that will be covered in a boot camp. Kids with a hairline trigger will certainly suffer immediate consequences. But more ...
Boot Camp - is It the Right Choice for Your Troubled Teen? Chances are that you have probably seen or heard about a boot camp approach for working with troubled teens. You may have seen it on a news program or talk show. Sometimes the abuse at these camps has led to the death of a participant. But, these camps are still in business. Are they all bad? Is there any value to the tough love principles that many of these camps are based on? For those who have a troubled teenager, they may see this as a better alternative than a juvenile detention center. What is the truth? Here are some facts ...
5. It has been found that a family based community program is a better alternative to the boot camp approach. Since many of the problems that these youth are having are based on their family situation, it is necessary to work with the whole family to make the changes that will be longer lasting. Most boot camp programs do not involve the whole family.
