I am writing a paper for my Abnormal Psychology class and I have choosen the topic "The Effects of Child Abuse". For example, Dissociative Identity Disorder is linked to child abuse, so is depression and drug abuse. However, I have had a hard time gathering a sufficient amount of concrete information on the subject. Do I have to research each disorder or does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find some good specific material? Lisa

WVDCJS: Justice Progams: Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for The Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners Program (RSAT) assists states and units of local government to develop and implement residential substance abuse treatment programs within state and local correctional and detention facilities in which prisoners are incarcerated for a period of time sufficient to permit substance abuse treatment. Statutory authority for this program rests in the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, as amended, Pub. L. 103-322. The primary program need for RSAT is securing the resources necessary to provide more treatment opportunities for adult and juvenile inmates.

Court Briefs Guadelupe Gonzalez Hernandez, 31, of Springdale pleaded guilty Aug. 7 in Washington County Circuit Court to third-degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member for beating his wife and threatening her with a knife on May 13, causing injury. He also admitted to violating his probation on failure to appear and third-degree domestic battery charges in 2005. He was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction, with two years suspended, leaving four to serve.

227 Texas Children Died Innocently At Hands Of Parents - But Sometimes we only get to see each other for a few minutes but we're supposed to get a WHOLE hour! No matter what's going on, it's worth everything when Mommy hugs me and tells me it'll be okay. How does she know it'll be okay? They won't let me tell her what happens at home .
