Warning....disturbing stuff about my neighbor's kids.
My ridiculous neighbor who is soooooo selfish called this morning to say that her 2.5 year old son had slipped on a toy and broken his femur. I mean, is that possible? She drank through both of her pgnys. Her second child is very developmentally delayed and she is doing nothing about it.
He's 17 mos and doesn't crawl, pull up or stand and she will not get him help!! My suspicion is that they both have fetal alcohol syndrome or disorder. It makes me sooo spitting mad I want to scream. When she got pg with her 2nd (when the 1st was 5 mos old) she came to my door with the HPT and waved it in front of my face and then as she was leaving said, "See Ya', ha ha" Like a f**king child teasing me on the playground. She knows our history. DH says that they are so in love with their own fertility that they will keep having kids even if they can't take care of the ones they've got.
grrrr. I can't stand people sometimes.

Sad story Susan.  I would really hate having people like that living next door to me.

Hugs, Susan. I know all to well about people who rub it in. I am dealing with a lot of those people right now. Poor child! I do know some people whose son is severly delayed. He is five and only grunts. I know that some parents can't do anything about it, but they have done nothing about it. The State of Florida has stepped in and are investigating the pedi and parents for neglect.

How sad!  Those poor children.  Some people do not deserve the right to be parents.
I am so sorry that you have to deal with this, Susan.  Hugs!

He broke his femur on a toy?  From what I have heard you have to have a lot of blunt force to break a femur.  Unless a child's is easier than an adult or he has some sort of softening of the bone from the fetal alcohol disorder or fetal alcohol affects or whatever other developmental problems he has.  I would think that the doctor would have reported it if it seemed suspicious to him/her.  I feel sorry for the kids growing up with parents like that.   Tina Susan <susanlinvi...@cheeseyahoo.com> wrote in news:VGdIc.24599$jJ3.15121 @bignews5.bellsouth.net:

Oh this is so sad!  And with Birth to 3 programs in every state, there really is no excuse for any parent not doing something for their children.
It has to be so upsetting to watch this.

I'm sure the hospital is checking into it. It sounds very fishy to me. I saw him tonight and it just breaks my heart. I can't believe her story.
It just doesn't seem possible. I mean, he's sort of a clumsy kid, but come on. I'm just sick about it.

Oh, geez...
Pfft...yeah, popping 'em out like gumballs and then complaining that they can't feed 'em.  That irks me to no end.
This kind of thing breaks my heart.  BC is free - there is no excuse, AFAIC.

I wouldn't wish IF on my worst enemy, but in this case I might make an exception. :*(  I hope the hospital reports her to the police and they conduct a thorough investigation, and if/when they find that this wasn't an accident, remove those kids from harm's way immediately!! :*(  Poor babies, they don't ask to be born into lives like this, but there *are* agencies out there to get them help like it sounds they need!!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{Susan}}}}}}}}}} Sorry she's been so ugly to you by flaunting her fertility in your face. :*( Love, Carolyne in TX

Actually my neighbor just broke her femur while running, of all things.  She did not fall on anything and the doctors said it was *highly* unusual.  In fact, they got worried that her cancer had returned to her bones, that is how rare it is to break a femur in any way other than a serious accident.  Turned out her bones are just weakened from chemo treatments.
I would think a small child is much more likely to break something like a femur if their bones are still developing (I forget how old this child is).  BUT, I would also hope that the doctors are at least looking into it to make sure nothing fishy is going on.  The poor little thing :( Ellen
