Hi! Everyone My name is Kay. Today, I have got one interesting topic which is about "Therapeutics" by using Music. Has anyone known or had an experience about this? What do you think and do you believe that the music can cure or relieve the symptom of mental?
I have heard that many specialists have succeeded in this therapy but I have never seen exactly the sound of music or the rhythm can threat patients who have mental problems. In my opinion, I think it could help because every time when something made me serious or depressed me, at that time I turned on the radio and listen to my favourite songs, unbelievably that sound helped me feel better. However, it may depend on the subconscious of each person. How about you guys? What do you think????

The music therapist doesn't want to sell you music. Instead, she'll be there to teach you to play in the Senile Seniors Rhythm Band when you are ready for that.

Hi, I had bad job stress and have to work 12hr or more some days. It was aggravated by my family problem about my two sons. I use to get 'some pills'to get some 'relief'. Recently some of my co-worker told (he used to listen ) some relaxing music at working time. I used to listen that music from India it is really really soft relaxing type music.
Believe or not (most of you will not believe it as much as you believe pills) I feel very good. I feel people should believe music therapy more. I found some web site about music therapy. If you believe me at least read about it.

Why does anyone need speech therapy? occupational therapy? physical therapy? rehab? psychiatric?

There are some well-intentioned (?) performers who market themselves as music therapists in an effort to sell there CD's. If you suspect this, ask them about their credentials

You were specifically referring to 'music therapy' None of those other things were mentioned.
We know that much of music is 'sick' but therapy won't change what's on the CD.

Music therapy is not the equivalent of anything you have listed.
I have been misc.health.alternaitve's resident music therapist for years. I treat spamming and mlming with music therapy.
