From IMDB Celebrity News Oft cast as a villain, Billy Zane is playing the good guy in real life by helping to save heroin addicts. The actor has teamed up with eyewear designer Sheila Vance to build a string of drug rehab centers across America. The philanthropic pair's first center will be set up in Los Angeles next year.
Zane, who has lost friends to heroin addiction, was sold on the idea when Vance 'bought' the actor as a celebrity date at a charity auction. The designer lost her only son to a heroin overdose. He says, "It's an insidious drug and my heart went out to this woman." ************************************************** God bless America!

Okay, like Evelyn, I'm reminding myself that this is Christmas, but isn't a drug rehab center the same as a business?  Don't insurance companies pay big money for folks to go there?

I believe it depends on how they set up.  Can either go commercial, as a business, or set it up as a non-profit charity.   ************************************************** God bless America!

Your memory is incorrect.  The Crossroads Centre at Antigua, founded by Eric Clapton, is an international non-profit facility for recovery from aloholsim and other drug dependencies.  It opened in October, 1998.  You can find more information at www.crossroadsantigua.org.
