Fatherlessness leads to teenage pregnancy

(24 Messages)

A new study demonstrates that high rates of teenage pregnancy are directly linked to the absence of fathers from the family. Not mentioned in the study is the fact that the major cause of fatherlessness in Western societies is the feminist-driven agenda of the divorce industry, supported by sexist laws and sexist courts that discriminate against men. Thank you again, feminists and the Family Court. Extract from article: Girls who grow up without their fathers are at more at risk of becoming preg ...

Andrea Dworkin: Rx for teenage pregnancy?

(12 Messages)

Teenagers often need a rebellious reason to do or not do something. Has anyone thought of offering Andrea Dworkin's book "Intercourse" to teenaged girls/women so they will think twice before having sex? If the old "chastity" reasons don't work, perhaps the idea of intercourse as occupation will. Any thoughts from either parents or teens? Thank you. **************************** Denise Noe Koko the Signing Gorilla says: "Fine animal gorilla."

Sex, Children, Teen-Pregnancy, and child-support

(9 Messages)

Over the last couple of weeks this group has seen several posts concerning children and sex. I'm finding it quite interesting that it seems that they are several people who have shifted their views on this subject after child-support (the teen-mother receiving it) is taken out of the formula. So my question to those who have blamed the teen-mother for having the child, why is it that you strongly oppose children/teens having sex but feel the sexual act, the pregnancy, and the birth is the respon ...

Teen Pregnancy

(9 Messages)

Teen pregnancy: Female juvenile offenders engage in sexual activity at an earlier age than non-offenders, putting them at higher risk of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy. For many young women, teen pregnancy is a virtual guarantee of poverty and long-term reliance on welfare. Most teen mothers drop out of high school and remain single most of their young adult years. They earn an average of $5,600 annually, less than half the poverty-level income. More than 60 percent of Afri ...

[1] However, most girls do not become fully fertile until much later; for example, the average age of menarche (first menstrual period) in the United States is 12.5, though this figure varies by ethnicity [2] and weight, and first ovulation occurs only irregularly until after this. The average age of menarche has been declining and is continuing to do so. Whether fertility leads to early pregnancy depends on a number of factors, both societal and personal. Worldwide, rates of teenage ...

Data supporting teenage pregnancy as a social issue in developed countries include lower educational levels, higher rates of poverty , and other poorer "life outcomes" in children of teenage mothers. Teenage pregnancy in developed countries is usually outside of marriage, and carries a social stigma in many communities and cultures. For these reasons, there have been many studies and campaigns which attempt to uncover the causes and limit the numbers of teenage pregnancies. [7] In other countries and cultures, particularly in the developing world , teenage pregnancy is usually ...

Our Health Our Futures Sexual Issues Teen PregnancyOur Health, Our Futures - Sexual Issues - Teen Pregnancy Dealing with the responsibility of being a parent is one of the hardest tasks to take on. Becoming a parent involves emotion, compassion, dedication, strength, knowledge, protectiveness, and being able to financially support the child. Parenting also involves many other components, which sometimes come with the territory of being a parent. It's a hard job but someone's got to do it. One of the major concerns of having a child or becoming a parent is to do so when you're old and mature enough to take on the responsibility. One of the problems in today's society is teenage pregnancy. The risk of pregnancy in teenagers is increasing largely. ...

YOUNG MUM IS BACKING ACTION PLAN TO CUT TEEN PREGNANCYYOUNG MUM IS BACKING ACTION PLAN TO CUT TEEN PREGNANCY For goodness sake, take responsibility for what you have done. It is not the schools fault that you got pregnant, it was because you had underage sex. Sex education is very basic in school but it get's to the point if you are prepared to listen. Stop blaming others for what has happened, you have a family now, grow up!!! ruth, derbyshire How about requiring fathers pay towards the cost of their children's upkeep and make it a criminal offence if they default? Might sound a bit heavy handed but currently there's no incentive to be responsible. AT, UAE

OVCDC joins forces with business community to help youth find jobsOVCDC joins forces with business community to help youth find jobs These businesses include DART, Immortal Realm Design, Drummond Medical Group as well as Tax Time and others. “The Community's been great,” said Susan Parisi, Site Project Coordinator for the Career Development Center. This is the second year that Parisi has been responsible for the summer work experience program. Parisi explained that the students are interviewed at the beginning of the program, and are then placed in a position which can give them a real-world view of their intended future profession.

The students work 20 hours a week for the duration of the program, and are paid minimum wage for their labor by the center itself. The student's work is evaluated twice during the six week period by both their “employer” and the center. The student is then given feedback. The center also arranges several workshops for the students to attend during the program. The participants attended two this year, one on the art of effective resume writing, and one designed to hone the student's interview skills. The latter, held Friday, required students to interview in front of a panel of respected community professionals, ...

No simple answersNo simple answers If summer is supposed to be for kids, this has been a lousy summer. It started just after school vacation began, when an 8-year-old boy was shot to death by his 7-year-old cousin in a wildly dysfunctional Grove Hall home. Last month, we learned a 3-year-old New Bedford girl's upper lip had been bitten off, allegedly by her mother's boyfriend. Last week, a despondent Roslindale mother was charged with killing her 13-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. Then, on Monday, a 20-year-old man was accused of murdering his 6-year-old cousin at their grandmother's Weymouth home. ...

It39s the Monogamy StupidIt's the Monogamy, Stupid Nonsense, snorted Camille Paglia. She wrote an essay titled "The Joy of Presbyterian Sex" that faulted the Report's authors for being hopelessly repressed. "Gay men don't have anonymous sex in rest area restroom stalls because they're oppressed," she wrote. "They do it because it's fun!" Paglia couldn't stand it that, in the name of liberal tolerance, Presbyterians wanted to turn drag queens and leather clad gay bar bouncers into Ozzie and Harriet.

But I found myself remembering those old arguments while reading this blog post by anti-liberal (both capital and lower case L) Craig Carter. It reads as if it's been preserved in amber since around the time the Berlin Wall fell. Blessing same sex relationships, says Carter, leads one down a slippery slope toward blessing anything, including, I suppose, "marriages" that expire when one or more of the copulators exits the restroom stall. Most of all, it is a concession to the dread ideology liberalism, which, never mind ...

Stop Demonising MothersStop Demonising Mothers Stop Demonising Mothers I was watching a TV programme the other night — I only caught a few minutes of it because it was annoying me so I exercised my incredible ability to change the channel , but it was still enough, when coupled with another thing to inspire this rant. Basically, the program was looking at some people who had become mothers as teenagers and was talking to them about life with a new baby. I don’t know whether or not the segment I watched was out of context, but it seemed very disapproving of the idea. You got the impression teenage mum = bad; single mum = bad and so on. It was almost Portilloesque . Now I know we want ...
