Teenagers often need a rebellious reason to do or not do something. Has anyone thought of offering Andrea Dworkin's book "Intercourse" to teenaged girls/women so they will think twice before having sex? If the old "chastity" reasons don't work, perhaps the idea of intercourse as occupation will.
Any thoughts from either parents or teens?

Any teen who reads that ignorant insane bitch's work will soon have occasion to find out who she REALLY is in her imaginary position in the women's movement and realize that they've been HAD!! Her bullshit is rejected by every feminist of note in every civilized nation.
You should instead cite the literally thousands of treatises written AGAINST her and "Mizzzz" McKinnon by other feminists. She describes in detail how she was sitting in a hotel garden, at age 52, drinking Kir Royales and reading a text on French Fascism, when the bartender and his busboy drugged her champagne, and brutally, brutally raped her.
By the time you finish reading it, you know she has finally completely lost her mind.
But instead of cackling with glee at the righteous karma of it all, I felt so sorry for her that tears came to my eyes. And this is a woman who called for my "******ination" on previous occasions...
Just think of all the lives she's threatened, censored, warped, and terrified.
The whole body of Canadian law is still reeling from her inspirations, not to mention the way her rhetoric has been hijacked wholesale in this country, by everyone from Tipper Gore to Jerry Falwell . Yet the contradictions between her brilliance and her lunacy have always gotten under my skin. Far more than Gloria Steinem or Betty Friedan, she has been the most influential radical feminist in my history with the women's movement.
I consider myself one ofthe closest Dworkin observer alive, which is usually something I'm better off keeping to myself. But at this point, maybe it's time to share---

Dear Steve, I didn't say or indicate that I support Andrea Dworkin's position on ANYTHING.
I didn't even indicate that I'm a feminist of any stripe. I merely wondered if reading Dworkin's works. could be a deterrent to teenaged pregnancy.

I would say upwards of 90% of teen pregnancy is unintentional anyway. Teen girls, just like teen boys are curious, and only want to experiment with sex. Neither gender actually wants to be parents before their time.

At some point, they're going to have sex. Parents can probably delay sexual activity for a while, but they can't forever.
If the girl is determined to be sexually active, it is reasonable to try to delay it until she's at least 15. After that, abstinence can only work if it's what the girl wants.
Reproduction of course being another matter. I'd shoot the girl before allowing her to blackmail the family with pregnancy.
If someone HAS a horny teen, they're going to know it. Get her on the depo shot. If it doesn't work out, send her in for a reversible tubal ligation.
By the time she can afford to get it reversed herself, she will be mature enough to raise the child.
