All calls are traceable - it doesn't mean they are traced. I think the Samaritans in the UK don't intervene, but I could be wrong. Different organisations will have different protocols, anyway.

Our Crisis line here will trace a call if you are in need but I have found out in the last few months that our Crisis line only deals with people that are totally flipped out not those that need to talk.
So they send them to our CONTACT line and the people are bewildered.
We just talk to folks on that line. We can't trace the call. It is a good place for people to vent and chat with a real live person who will listen.
Crisis here has gotten a bad name.
