As a quick intro to why I am an avid reader of this group, my name is Julie and I live in the Ann Arbor, Michigan, area and do social science research at the University of Michigan. I'm not currently pregnant or near trying even, but I'm fascinated by pregnancy and childbirth and hope to work in the area someday, either in research or hands-on. Although I'm not pregnant, I have read a great deal about birth and will want a home-birth (with the full support of my husband, who is Dutch and cannot ...

Indigo Children - Meditation, Relaxation, Anxiety, Stress Management My 7 year old daughter was having an extremely hard time dealing with the stress in her life and having significant behavior problems. This CD has taught her ways to tune into her body and relieve some stress through deep breathing, relaxation techniques, and affirmations. In searching for techniques to help her, I found this CD series. It has been a godsend. She quickly downloaded both of the "non teen" CDs to her iPod, allowing her to take the relaxation "on the road" and to choose her favorites from both CDs. She's been using these for almost a month and now her bedtime is so peaceful and easy - no longer does ...

Anxiety Disorder 27 Comments: Ricardo said... Thank you for sharing I have so much to say on this. The anti depressant thing is a cure worse than the disease. My creativity plummets and I always feel drowsy. Now working out has helped a great deal with my depression as well. In fact I was able to get off anti depressants through exercise and was doing great until....the panic attacks. Now I'm back where I started. I was very worried about getting on planes (something that never bugged me before) and going to parties. It was just awful. A stiff drink did the trick for a bit but as you say, not the thing ...

So is there a clear-cut way to distinguish between them? Well there is and it is about as clear mud. Determining their subtle nuances is like deciphering the DSM-IV and even trained doctors have difficulty in that arena. So how does the sufferer try to get a decent picture of what is what so they know where to go for help or can at least get a handle of their problem? Right here, I hope. After hours of research on several different websites, ...
