Isn't perception reality?
Don't each and every one of us construct our own reality?
Aren't I being defamed and libeled from kingdom come and back against---as "mentally ill"  because I reject the imaginary illness a dirty professional has jacketed me as having to scapegoat me for the dirty pool HE  played in support groups where he used mentally distressed people as pawns in the war he waged against the exhubby of a pdoc?

Have you read the Construction of Social Reality by Searle?
Just wondering since you mentioned construction of reality.

No,  I'm familiar with theory of social construction of reality vs conflict theory of reality.
I think the conflict theory of reality is applicable to the BS goes down on support groups being trolled by crackpot MHP's.
Another poster asked about RD Laing,  and I  read and reread one of Laing's works many times since stalking therapist started waging war on me by his attempts to manipulate public perception regarding my social and psychological IDENTITY (to drive me nuts).
I believe "Self and Others" is the title of the book I keep by my night table.

Prolly the lesser side of half of it. Perceptions can fool.
Irrational thoughts can fool.
I think we interpret our 'reality' and behave in ways that make some experiences more likely than others, for better or for worse. We affect our environment and in turn it has an influence on us.
Who says you're mentally ill? I thought you said you were just fine? Even though you say you have been depressed and depression is a mental illness, no matter what causes it. Did you know that one in five women will experience a major depressive episode in their lifetimes?
because I reject the imaginary illness a dirty professional You're not getting any sympathy from me, liar.

She has created a horrible reality for herself, no? Doesn't even pick up on any of the environmental reality around her or what it might mean. It's Linda, I, Self, Linda...
