Jump suits for people doing community service

(25 Messages)

Hazel Blears, whom God preserve, has suggested that those sentenced to community service should wear some kind of uniform, and I have heard the term jump suits bandied about already. Orange jump suits, someone said on the radio. Should they be orange? I would favour pink myself. I think pink's a lovely colour, especially when contrasted with grey. I have a florescent pink highlighting stick and it's great fun, much better than green or orange. Maybe Bluewater are missing a trick here. Allow any ...

(17 Messages)

The more I read here convinces me that we should find a suitable penalty for members of this group listed as Spammers, abusers, grafitiasts, and non contributing aus.radio.broadcast whingers ( the List) . One idea is for the judge to consider imposing Community Service Orders for some time playing for Australias worst AFL Club. Which one is that? Worst teams in the AFL Carlton they have talent but there is somthing seriously wrong with the culture of the club Kangaroos good players, good coach coa ...

A Commentary on a Great American

(22 Messages)

In view of all the Molly Ivens drivel, I thought I would post Peggy Noonans commentary on a real authentic american leader. Happy Birthday, Mr. Reagan He was a man of determination and good cheer--one of America's greats. Friday, February 2, 2007 12:01 a.m. EST Next Tuesday would have been Ronald Reagan's 96th birthday, which is amazing when you consider he is, in a way, more with us than ever: his memory and meaning summoned in political conversation, his name evoked by candidates. I remember 1 ...

RANT: I can't believe this

(21 Messages)

I just found a horrible rant about me posted in my daughter's friend's journal. We let her live in our home for 3 months while she didn't even try to find another place but kept saying she would, and we finally asked her to leave last week while we were having so much trouble with our daughter because we needed to focus all of our energy on our own family. Now we are "Fucking Ungrateful Pigs" because, she says, she was the only thing saving our family and now things will get far worse ...

Chances for Johns HopkinsChances for Johns Hopkins I would say that you should try and raise your SATs by at least 100 points if you can. Being a cellist and musician, I can unequivocally tell you that being good at an instrument (and sending in tapes) will set you apart. Your D will hurt you and almost definitely prevent an Ivy League acceptance, but really emphasize your musical passion in your essays and keep everything else really squeaky clean.
